1979 Broom Baystar 38ft, with 80HP diesel engine.
The Baystar is a classic Irish riverboat, designed specially to suit cruising on the Irish rivers. Only 24 were built, so this is a collectible boat. This particular boat was originally "P134 Carnagh Star".
The Baystar is known as an unusually roomy cruiser, with good headroom, one level throughout the interior and a raised steering position open to the living area. This particular boat has been further modified to create an open-plan kitchen/living area.
This boat has just been refurbished, with completely new floors throughout.
The kitchen/living area has all modern conveniences in perfect working order - full gas cooker, full fridge (gas+battery+mains), instant hot water from a gas geyser, microwave oven, lots of cupboards, and a solid fuel stove.
The main bedroom has a full double bed, toilet, and wash basin.
The second bedroom has a single bed (plus space on the floor for a visitor) and a wash basin.
The main toilet is also a shower room, with hot water from the gas geyser.
There are two open deck areas (front and rear) and a seating area on the top of the boat.
Also included are solar panels, connection for shore power, and a large storage area under the fore deck.
